The wires can be left silver or can be frosted or white to help them be more invisible.

As with every other form of orthodontic treatment, the treatment time required for porcelain ceramic braces varies from patient to patient but is usually slightly longer than with traditional metal braces. It will depend on how much correction your teeth require and how well you comply with your treatment protocol, among other factors. Treatment typically takes between two and three years for most patients.
The first step is to come into our Bixby Knolls office for a consultation. After getting an examination and x-rays, you can discuss your orthodontic needs with your orthodontist and what your options are. A treatment plan, including duration and cost, will then be drafted before treatment is started.
Once you approve the treatment plan, you will return to the office to get the braces placed. The brackets will be adhered to your teeth with non-toxic adhesives and connected by wires. After placement, you will return to the office periodically for checkups and adjustments until your treatment is completed, at which time your braces will be removed.
Porcelain ceramic braces tend to be slightly more expensive than traditional metal braces because of the specialized materials required. All orthodontic treatments will run you a few thousand dollars before any insurance payments.
